Lydie Baillie Parisot is freelance web developer and designer for MyWebPixie. She is a university graduate in German and Persian studies after studies at the University of California at Los Angeles and at the University of Paris Institut national de langues et civilisations orientales. In addition, she is a certified French English translator.
Her expertise and experience has grown from activity in diverse professional sectors: as a teacher in bilingual immersion schools, freelance translation work for agencies and the public sector, as a startup machine embroidery manufacturer, launching of an home textile store in the early days of electronic shopping carts. Her oil painting talents, the embroidery business' attention to detail, the web skills involved in ecommerce, the expertise as a multilingual language provider, all contributed to make MyWebPixie multilingual web services, her current endeavor, a reality.
On the community level, Lydie Baillie Parisot contributes to localization of Drupal and WordPress ongoing open source CMS core.
Beyond business, she enjoys sailing, landscape painting, permaculture gardening and eight-man team rowing.
